Prior to founding Health Service Review in 1983, Mr. Barker had many years of experience in hospital management and patient care. His experience includes several executive positions with responsibility for patient care, PPO development, customer service, marketing, human resources and hospital planning.
Karen Mehl Karen Mehl, RN, BSN
Founder, Vice-President , Operations & CFO
Before founding HSR, Ms. Mehl was Vice President of nursing at a regional hospital. Prior to this, her experience included executive positions in patient care, staff development and a School of Nursing.
Elizabeth Miller Elizabeth Miller, RN, BSN
Director Care Management
Ms. Miller has over 25 years experience in clinical and management roles in hospitals and HSR. She is an expert in utilization and health management. At HSR, Ms. Miller is responsible for overseeing Utilization Review and Case Management.
Debra Hall Debra Hall,
Director, TPA Operations
Ms. Hall has over 20 years experience in the health benefits industry. She has an extensive background in client service, installation and operations.
Tonya Miller Tonya Miller, RN
Director, Client Management
Ms. Miller has over 30 years healthcare experience, 16 of these with HSR. Tonya has served in both clinical and management roles in hospitals and managed care. She manages HSR's Disease Management Program.
Richard Dammel Richard Dammel, M.D.
Medical Director
Dr. Dammel, a physician for more than 30 years, is a Board certified internist. He has been a participant in Hawaii's Iron Man competition, so he practices what he preaches. Dr. Dammel has been with HSR since 1985.
